At CertiQ we issue certificates for energy that is generated from four sustainable sources: the sun, wind, water and biomass. CertiQ has been designated to do this by the Dutch government. The Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) that we issue, in electronic form, are the only valid proof in the Netherlands that energy has been generated sustainably. Certificates issued by CertiQ can be traded within Europe.

CertiQ organisation
CertiQ currently has a staff of fourteen. All are employed by TenneT TSO B.V.  You can have a closer look at the organisation in our organisation chart.

A 100% subsidiary of TenneT TSO B.V.
CertiQ is part of the electricity transmission company, TenneT TSO B.V. The Dutch Minister of Economics, Agriculture and Innovation has designated TenneT as the only company in the Netherlands that is entitled to issue Guarantees of Origin. CertiQ has been appointed to perform these legal tasks on behalf of TenneT.

Member of the Association of Issuing Bodies
CertiQ is a member of the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB), an international partnership of European Guarantee of Origin organisations. The AIB strives to standardise certification systems to facilitate trade in sustainable as well as other forms of energy.
