As a producer of green energy, you need to show your subsidy provider, Agentschap NL, that the energy is indeed generated sustainably. At CertiQ we help you provide that evidence. We issue electronic certificates for sustainably generated energy, which are proof of the distinction between green and grey energy. CertiQ has been designated as the only independent organisation in the Netherlands authorised to issue Guarantees of Origin (GoOs).
The various forms of renewable energy
If you want to have the green energy produced by your plant certified, you need to register your plant at CertiQ.
We also have certificates for fossil fuel-based electricity and combined heat and power plants
Electricity generated from fossil fuel or from combined heat and power plants can also be certified. In these cases we issue disclosure certificates. There is no legal requirement to obtain certificates for grey energy, but it does increase the transparency of the energy labels on end users’ electricity bills, showing customers how the energy they used was generated.
If you would like disclosure certificates for your grey energy, please call us at 026 373 16 58 or send an e-mail to servicedesk@certiq.nl. We are available on weekdays from 08:30 to 17:00.
